JOHN ITAMURA
Mr. John Itamura has over thirty years of experience in the market research industry.  His
area of expertise is in the management of field operations.  He is also responsible for
overseeing the company operations, as well as for all hiring and training.  Over the span of
over
thirty years, Mr. Itamura has managed hundreds of projects utilizing different
methodologies such as telephone, intercepts,  door-to-door, mail and web surveys.  He has
managed projects on the U.S. mainland and in Japan.  Mr. Itamura is a graduate of the
University of Hawai`i at Manoa with a B.B.A. in Management.

KRISTIN HARTLEY
Ms. Kristin Hartley has been in the market research industry in various capacities for twenty
years.  Ms. Hartley has been a field director and data processing director at different market
research companies in Hawaii.  Ms. Hartley is proficient in SPSSWIN and SAS --- two social
sciences statistical-based packages as well as Sawtooth's Ci3 software, a CATI program.  
Ms. Hartley received her B.A. degree from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa in Psychology.

KRISTI KIRTON
Ms. Kristi Kirton has been involved with market research for over fifteen years.  Her
background is in editing and coding of surveys, keypunching of data from surveys, compiling
data, processing data using SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Sciences) and
programming CATI surveys in both ACS Query and Sawtooth Ci3 CATI software.  Ms.
Kirton has worked at different market research companies in Hawaii.  Ms. Kirton attended
the University of Hawai`i Leeward Community College.

DR. JEFFREY SMITH, PhD---ASSOCIATE
Dr. Jeffrey Smith has been directing marketing and survey research in Hawaii since 1973.
His areas of expertise include survey sampling, questionnaire design, tabulation analysis,
and multivariate analysis. He earned his masters and doctoral degrees in political science
from the University of Hawaii, focusing on statistics and methodology.  Dr. Smith's areas of
expertise include market research, survey research, survey sampling, questionnaire design,
tabulation and multivariate analysis, political research, social and economic analysis,
government programs evaluation, and information systems design.  He has conducted and
directed an extensive series of market research projects in such areas
as market feasibility; consumer behavior and attitudes; travel research; image studies;
public opinion research; real estate development and condominium studies; media
research; store audits and distribution observations; and product testing.  Dr. Smith has
been a partner and research director of Hawaii's largest market research firm.  He has also
served in government as a consultant as well as research director and analyst of several
government agencies.

JOHN KNOX, PhD---ASSOCIATE
Dr. John Knox has more than 30 years of experience in social, economic, and community
research — as a consultant, a survey researcher, an academician, and a community
facilitator. Much of his work has involved public policy research and/or issues related to
economic and land use development, although his recent practice has also focused strongly
on community indicators and program evaluation. He also has substantial expertise in other
land use issues ... public policy planning and program evaluation ... market research and
feasibility analyses ... and community input to planning processes. He developed Hawai`i’s
first full-service socio-economic impact consultancy, “Community Resources, Inc.,” which  
was known for excellence in both quantitative and qualitative aspects of its research activities
and for its working partnerships with community
groups facing major change and development. In early 1995, he sold the name and assets
of that company, and he now functions as a sole practitioner (with the help of a network of
associates as needed) under the renamed corporate identity “John M. Knox & Associates,
Inc.”  He has a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa, an M.A. in Social
Psychology, with Certificate in Planning Studies from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa and
a B.A. in Speech from the University of Michigan.
